Dad's Chili

 

2 lbs. ground beef

2 medium onions, chopped

1 T garlic, finely chopped

2 T butter

2-15 oz. cans diced tomatoes, undrained

2-15 oz. cans chili beans, drained and rinsed

3 T chili powder

2 T cumin

1/2 T seasoned salt

 

In a large pot, sauté the onions and garlic in the butter until onions are transparent. Add ground beef and cook through till no longer pink. Add tomatoes, chili beans, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for 30 minutes. Serve with corn bread.
